“We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Mérida. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was great. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety of options, and the staff was friendly and welcoming during our stay. One of the best things about this hotel is the location. It is very close to the city center, which made it easy to explore Mérida and walk around the historic area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Mérida.”

“Okay, so it's not a 4 star hotel, but it does deserve 5 stars. My sister and I loved staying there. The staff was outstanding--friendly and helpful with my many questions. The hotel itself is charming and lovely. It's situated in a great place in relation to downtown shops and amenities. It was also quiet and a great value. We were looking for a comfortable place, with helpful staff, where we could launch our exploration of Merida and the surrounding area, and Hotel Gobernador was just that.”

“Old style hotel close to the city centre. We only spent here one night and overall it was ok. The rooms have the internal court window facing so it can get noisy and for some reason they don't switch off the lights till 3am so if you are light sensitive this is not the place form you. Good buffet breakfast”

“I’ve been invited twice in the past to experience the buffet in this hotel. We’ve been highly recommended about the food and the restaurant ambience. Finally we could make it on Valentine’s Day. They have this special time full of decorations and warm, welcoming for both guests and external customers. I definitely will come back and I hope next time will be for a dinner time with my loved one. I am amazed with a warmth, quality service and above all the smile and kindness that every single employee and waiter shows to the customers while you are having this great experience thanks Hernand for inviting us to experience this restaurant.”

“Very nice little hotel, with a pool. I wasn't comfortable to leave my passport at the front desk for 2 towels, which I got back when I returned them. But, just to play with the thought, would they keep it if I lost my towel for whatever reason? I am sorry, I am happy to leave a deposit for it, not my passport. We tried some nachos, which was lovely, so we're the drinks. It's in a good location with shops and restaurants. Parks are also within walking distance”
